Materials

The complete system is available in either Grade 304 stainless steel or galvanized.

304 Grade Stainless Steel Explained:

Grade 304 Stainless Steel is made to a specification with a minimum of 18% chromium, and 8% nickel and is perfect for use as kitchen utensills and in the food industry as a whole.

Due to the chromium content, it has a very high corrosion/oxidation resistance, and can be easily cleaned, which is obviously essential in fighting germs and bacteria that breed in a food preperation and storage environment.

Regardless of materials, all pieces of the shelving systems are deburred during manufacture, which removes sharp edges which may cause unnessesary injury.

Zintec Steel Explained:

Zintec steel is steel which has been eltro-coated with zinc. Rust can't attack zinc, which means that Zintec steel offers a great storage solution, and is cheaper to manufacture than Grade 304 stainless steel.

Our Zintec steel shelving is used in many applications such as storage in retail shops, file storage and archiving of paper documents in offices, right up to large warehouse applications where its strength and flexibility is ideal for storing anything from tools & fixings, electronic components, electrical goods, and printed materials, to computers and car parts!
